Thank you for your interest in the State Employees Golf Association (SEGA) and we’re glad you’re interested in joining our golf league. Browsing through our Website and the information here should answer most questions you may have about who we are and how we operate.
Our SEGA Tournament year begins with our first event following our annual meeting, tournament and BBQ on LBJ day in August. The tournament schedule consists of at least 12 tournaments, including our 2-day club championship held in May. Events are held on State holidays. If there is not a holiday in a given month the tournament will be held on a Saturday.
SEGA Annual Membership Dues are $24.00, payable at your first tournament. For new members who join in August at our annual meeting and tournament, annual dues apply to the following year.
Tournament fees include:
- Course green fee (and, if applicable, shared cart fee and range balls)
- Player Pool prize fee for competing in Flights and Close-to-Pin competitions
- Optional Skins competition ($5.00 entry)
Tournament fees are paid at the course on tournament day or we offer an online service to pre-pay tournament fees as a convenience to our members. (Online pre-pay is not required.)
Tournament formats vary throughout the year and include Individual and Team (2-Player and 4-Player Team) events. All Individual format events are flighted based on individual SEGA established handicaps. Team events are flighted based on total team player handicaps.
And finally, SEGA has a Hole-In-One fund to reward any Member who achieves this feat.
SEGA welcomes all amateur golfers (male and female) in the greater Austin, Texas area who are currently employed by the state or retired from state service. Family members are welcome to join as well.
